Prospective Parents

Choosing a school which will provide the best education for your child is one of the most important decisions that a parent has to make. We are delighted to welcome prospective parents and pupils to come and find out more about our excellent school, meet the Head and have a look around to see what makes Brough Community Primary so very special. If you decide to send your child to us, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.

We are a family orientated school where every child matters and is valued as an individual. We encourage everyone to develop their own talents and interests as well as become proficient in the basic key skills.

We attract many pupils from both Brough and a wider catchment area.  Home-school transport is available for pupils via Westmorland and Furness Coucil (contact us or see the Westmorland and Furness Council website for more details).

Our curriculum is enriched through the provision of a variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities.  Extended hours are also provided by our excellent wraparound service.

We aim for each child to leave our school happy, fulfilled and well prepared for the next stage of their education.  The school has excellent relations with our local secondary schools, especially Kirkby Stephen Grammar School.  Pupils in all year groups regularly visit the school for sporting and other trips.  This helps to create a smooth transition to secondary school for our Year 6s.

Our annual pupil admission number is 15. We currently have spaces available in year groups across school. If you would like a place, please contact the school office and Westmorland and Furness Council to complete an admission form.
